MEMBANGUN KARAKTER EKOTEOLOGI ISLAM MELALUI PENANAMAN POHON DAN KEPEDULIAN LINGKUNGAN DI SMPN 11 BANJARBARU

Abstract: This study aims to describe the process of Islamic ecotheology character building in class VIII I students of SMPN 11 Banjarbaru through tree planting and environmental awareness activities, as well as identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results showed that the character of Islamic ecotheology was formed through structured activities that instilled the value of love of nature, realization of love of nature, and consistency towards the preservation of the environment. The main supporting factors are the role of teachers, enthusiastic students, and a supportive school environment. The obstacles include lack of individual awareness, limited teacher time, and lack of support from some parents. Tree planting is proven to be effective as a medium of learning Islamic values that are environmentally sound and forming characters that are responsible for nature. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses pembentukan karakter ekoteologi Islam pada siswa kelas VIII I SMPN 11 Banjarbaru melalui kegiatan penanaman pohon dan kepedulian lingkungan, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter ekoteologi Islam terbentuk melalui kegiatan terstruktur yang menanamkan nilai cinta alam, realisasi cinta alam, dan konsistensi terhadap pelestarian lingkungan. Faktor pendukung utama adalah peran guru, siswa yang antusias, dan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung. Adapun hambatannya meliputi kurangnya kesadaran individu, keterbatasan waktu guru, dan minimnya dukungan dari sebagian orang tua. Penanaman pohon terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran nilai-nilai Islam yang berwawasan lingkungan dan membentuk karakter yang bertanggung jawab terhadap alam.
